Design Methodologies

Airex has been at the leading edge of precision wound components on military and high performance commercial applications since 1950. Starting with his goal of making high quality, innovative products in a less expensive way, Richard Sedgewick saw a vision of the future in creating “America’s first plastics foundry.” After successful endeavors encapsulating copper windings for others, he was intrigued to advance his knowledge of windings. His designs and techniques created the foundation for today’s products.

Patented technology and robotic methodology have evolved to provide “best in class” components, complementing the market demand for the highest levels of performance. Our many Patents embody our unique windings, application of technologies, and thermal performance of our products.
